The Troy Davis Dilemma



In his latest article, The Troy Davis Dilemma, Andrew Wilkes, who works at Habitat for Humanity-NYC as the Faith and Community Relations associate and serves as an affiliate minister at the Greater Allen Cathedral of New York, seeks to provide a basic answer to a critical question: Is it truly possible to separate the divine injunction against murder from the public administration of capital punishment?

Kenneth Harrell, student at Calvin College, explains the dilemma in which Black Christian intellectuals find themselves in The Dilemma of the Black Christian Intellectual (And One Viable Solution). He suggests that Black Christian intellectuals build their own institutions like other communities in order to help themselves flourish in their faith and intellectual endeavors.
